Bartlett J. Madison-KC9AK spent many years supporting the D.A.R.C. and Amateur Radio itself. Through the years Bart was a regular check-in on the Monday Night Net and attended meetings as often as possible. When Bart became ill and had to move to a skilled care facility, D.A.R.C. set up a station for Bart so that he could still be a part of our community.

Sadly Bart became a Silent Key in 2004. To honor him the Bart Madison Award was created to recognize other Amateur Radio Operators who also gives freely of their time, and knowledge to others, and their organizations. Their love and respect for this chosen hobby has no boundaries, whether it be spotting a storm, running a net or just working to make a club event successful.

This award is open to any Amateur Radio Operator, they need not be member of the D.A.R.C. organization. The decision is not based on the number of recommendations, but on what they have done for the good of Amateur Radio and/or the club. The recommendations are sent to a committee that makes the final decision as to who the recipient will be. Their decision is closely guarded until it is presented during D.A.R.C's annual Christmas Dinner.

KB9PK0-Rick
For several years KB9PKO ran the D.A.R.C. Net on Monday night, and his pancakes have helped make our annual Father's Day Tailgate Party a success. He has served as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President of D.A.R.C. His dedication and support is greatly appreciated.

KB9PIE-John T.
KB9PIE spends many hours as a Storm Spotter for several Amateur Radio organizations. He volunteers much of his time as a communicator during special events, and is always ready to lend a helping hand to a fellow hobbiest in need of assistance. When someone throws out their call on the 146.775 Repeater they are often welcomed by KB9PIE's friendly voice, and come on in and sit a-spell attitude.

KC9CCJ-Judy
KC9CCJ has designed and maintained our website for several years , receiving no compensation. Each year she has organized the member's Christmas Party and food preparation for and during the D.A.R.C. HamFest. This year she received this award for our appreciation.
